AI has the potential to solve humanity’s greatest challenges: disease, aging, hunger, and much more. I am firmly opposed to slowing things down and instead support accelerating progress even further.

But since China is unlikely to accept any slowdown, because every slowdown in the United States represents an opportunity for China, I believe this call to slow down will ultimately fall on deaf ears.

We should accelerate, not slowing down.
